Research interests:
The Seaweed Laboratory at IOLR has a 30-year experience in general macroalgal biology and applied phycology. During this time, we studied photosynthesis, carbon fixation, and ecology of seaweeds, and developed seaweed aquaculture and strain selection technologies intended to produce food and valuable molecules. Seaweed taxonomy using molecular tools, seaweed invasions and issues related to global change are under current investigation in his lab.
